Plate heat exchangers are widely used in our daily lives. The final process of producing plate heat exchangers is pressure testing. If the pressure test is not passed, it will affect the later use of plate heat exchangers. Below, we will briefly understand.
1. The plate heat exchanger first undergoes a shell side pressure test, while checking the connection between the heat exchange tube and the tube plate, and then undergoes a tube side pressure test.
2. The tools used for testing include clamping studs, which are equipped with hydraulic fixtures and clamping nuts on the outer sleeve of the clamping studs. The clamping nuts are located at the rear end of the hydraulic fixtures.
3. After evenly and symmetrically clamping the pressure plate to the specified size throughout the entire process, remove the process washers, hydraulic fixtures, and clamping nuts from the clamping studs, replace them with product washers and nuts, and tighten them.
