LWC150S is a model of the KELVION brand, where "L" represents the liquid side, "W" represents the wide channel, "C" represents the refrigerant side, "150" represents the design pressure of 1.5MPa, and "S" represents the brazed structure.

Structural characteristics

 

The Kelvin LWC150S heat exchanger has three different structural types:

1.Plate heat exchanger: This type of heat exchanger is welded from thin plates and has the advantages of small volume, large heat exchange area, and high heat transfer efficiency. However, the pressure bearing capacity of plate heat exchangers is relatively low, making them suitable for low and medium pressure applications.

 

2.Spiral plate heat exchanger: This type of heat exchanger is welded with spiral thin plates, which has the advantages of high heat transfer efficiency and strong pressure bearing capacity. However, spiral plate heat exchangers have a larger volume and are suitable for high-pressure and medium pressure applications.

 

3.Tubular heat exchanger: This type of heat exchanger is welded with pipes, which has advantages such as high heat transfer efficiency, strong pressure bearing capacity, and moderate volume. However, the manufacturing process of tubular heat exchangers is relatively complex and costly, making them suitable for high-pressure and medium pressure applications.

The main components of the Kelvin plate heat exchanger consist of two plates and a gasket, with each plate having a sheet-like protrusion to create a flow channel. The purpose of the gasket is to separate the fluid and ensure that they flow through each channel at the same speed and pressure. The protrusions on the two plates are arranged at a certain distance, forming a flow channel for the two media, which allows for close contact and heat transfer between the two media.
