Heat exchanger plates are usually made of metal materials in various shapes and sizes, used to separate hot and cold fluids and transfer heat. Therefore, you need to consider the design of the shape, size, and material of the plate to meet your specific needs. The standard plate from Sondex is one type of heat exchanger plate.
Product details of sondex's standard board
1. The surface of Sondex's standard board is flat, smooth, and free of burrs. The overall heat treatment ensures a long service life and uniform stress.
2. The plates of the plate heat exchanger are pressed from stainless steel or alloy, allowing them to withstand various corrosive substances.
Standard board materials and characteristics of sondex
Stainless Steel: SUS304/SUS304L/SUS316/SUS316L
Suitable for conditions with severe corrosion in acidic and alkaline media, but not suitable for conditions containing chloride ions.
Industrial Pure Titanium: TA1
Used in alkali production, salt production, low-temperature seawater freezing, and severe chloride ion corrosion conditions.
Ultra-Low Carbon Stainless Steel: 00Cr18Ni14Mo2Cu2
Suitable for organic solvents and situations with intergranular and chloride ion corrosion.
The range of plate sizes is wide, with several types to choose from, ranging from 0.02m² to 1.8m² of single plate heat exchange area. This equipment offers wide adaptability, giving users a greater choice.
Complete plate types include herringbone wave, straight wave, spherical wave, straight wave/oblique wave, and double pedestrian wave, which can meet the requirements of most working conditions for plate types.
The plates are available in detachable or welded forms. The former can achieve ideal results when combined with sealing pads of different types (adhesive and buckle) and materials. The latter uses welding technology, ensuring stable and efficient operation at high temperatures.
Types of Sondex Standard Plates
Semi-Welded Plates
Semi-Welded exchangers are two plates laser welded together to form a cassette. The advantage of this construction is that, one side of the cassette is a sealed welded channel, whilst the other is a traditional gasketted plate channel making assembly and cleaning of this site easier.

Sonder Safe Plates
The Sondex Sonder Safe system consists of two thin flow plates pressed together. The unique Sonder Safe plates means that should there be a leak in one of the plates, the media will run out between the plates, allowing the leak to be seen from the outside. The "Sonder Safe Plates" are available in two versions - an industrial and a sanitary design.

Free Flow Plates
Sondex "Free Flow" plates are used for liquids containing solids, particles, fibres or high viscous products. The plates are commonly used in the pulp & paper industry, in waste water treatment plants, the sugar industry, juice production, grain based ethanol production, heat recovery systems and for special tasks where standard plate heat exchangers usually will block.
